Friday afternoon and I just finished mowing the yard. Before I could mow, I had to pick up a wheelbarrow load of black walnuts off the ground. I used a hoe to scrape them into piles and a shovel to get them into the wheelbarrow. That was about 2 weeks worth. So I tend to put off mowing as long as I can, not because of the mowing itself, but because of the nuts. But, it is done for another week – yay!
I took my seniors on a trip to Fanny Hill for a dinner and show yesterday. We saw Church Basement Ladies. It was good, but not as good as when I saw it at the Plymouth Playhouse a few years ago. But the food was awesome and we had a really good time. Our next trip is in exactly a month, when we go to the Dells to see Charlie Pride (who’s he??) live in concert. I don’t really want to give up a Saturday to lead that trip, but everyone says he’s really good and someone has to be in charge.
I’m trying to get everything done that takes two hands so I can be without two for a week or so. Mowing, cleaning, painting, constructing and destructing. Then I plan to lounge around and heal while I read books and watch movies!
