Leaving tomorrow

You know how it is the day before a trip — you keep obsessing that you are forgetting something, but you can’t think what it would be.  So you just run around, anxious all day, and finally go to bed. Well, that pretty much sums up my day.

I got the laundry done early, so I could pack my suitcases. Then I swept and scrubbed the floors, because they really needed it. I ran to Eau Claire to finish shopping for Audrey’s gifts (sorry, Audrey, they may be late – they will be mailed Monday if Grandpa remembers).  I also found some great deals on clothes at Shopko. I bought 6 things and together saved over 80%. So I spent like $26 on way over $100 worth of stuff. Pretty exciting!

Now I’m home alone because Dad is at The Garage. But last night he had off, so we went out to Pokegama for the fish special. I had sweet potato fries for my potato choice and I cannot tell you how scrumptious they were!! Best thing I’ve eaten all week! My fish was good, but Dad said his was tough.  I think it is hard to get the broiled fish done just right.

Now I’m going to find an interesting picture and try to add it here at the end of the post with a caption under it. We’ll see how it goes!

Nothing much to say, except that this is working way better than yesterday - about 5 times faster and it is allowing me to change the size.

Sorry, I’m learning.

Well, I am having fun, but I really don’t know what I am doing. I have definitely learned how to get a picture from the camera onto the site. Unfortunately I have not yet learned how to get it the right size. And I haven’t figured out what happened to the text that I wrote to go with it. I’d love to be able to have a smaller picture as well as text in the same post.  I did it (accidentally, apparently) this morning and now I can’t remember how I did it!

Drip, drip, drip…

Still wet here in New Auburn. On the positive side, I suppose it is raising the water tables and filling up our lakes. The yard actually drained out a bit over night.
Busy day coming up at work, because I have 4 classes, plus deliver meals on wheels and make the final preparations for our trip to Niagara Falls, which leaves on Sunday at 8 a.m.

Welcome to my website

Wow! Erica got me set up with my very own website. Now I can tell everyone what I am up to, too.

Today was very rainy. When I checked in the middle of the afternoon, we already had 3 1/2 inches and it has been raining steadily since. The yard is a lake again. Enough, already!
