Even before it is totally finished, I can say with certainty that this is the most amazing kitchen I’ve ever had! I designed it based on what I’d liked in previous kitchens and it looked good on paper. But I can’t express how pleased I am with the results, now that it is off the paper and in the house. It is big enough for both of us to work in it at one time, which is such a change from just a few days ago. I love having a place to eat in the kitchen and I love the view from that spot and from the sink. I’m enjoying clearing off the dining room table directly to the sink from the back side. I baked this afternoon in my dedicated baking space to the left of the fridge and it is spacious and everything I needed was right there at my fingertips. The distance to the stove is great enough that the preheating doesn’t preheat me (!) but close enough to be very convenient. With a place this awesome, I may actually learn to cook well. At least I’ll be able to enjoy practicing!
