The plants all seem to love this heat. It seems to particularly affect the growth of the stems and leaves, but not the fruit so much. My tomatoes are growing all over each other and everything else and the vine crops are sending out a foot or more a day, it looks like. The beans are finally ready. We had just a small batch for snack last night after I noticed they were ready. I’ll probably pick them tomorrow when there are enough ready to freeze some. I do have to pick the chard this evening, though. I’m going to wait for it to get a little cooler.
Some more flower pictures for you:
These are the fuzzy flowers along the driveway. They are really taking their time opening, which is great.
These are such a nice pale yellow lily. They are really gorgeous in person.
And it turns out the tree in the back yard is a cherry tree!
no way–a cherry tree? You have EVERY kind of fruit it seems! 🙂 And I just love those fuzzy purple flowers.
