But it is Friday and I can finally relax. I actually got all my hours worked at the Center this week, but it took some doing, because I was gone from work a LOT. I practiced with Cameron choirs on Tuesday and Thursday, and their choirs meet in the a.m., so I would go to work at 7:15, and work an hour, then go to Cameron at 8:15 and return in about an hour and do a class, then run back up there for two more classes, grab lunch and be back to work at about 11:45. But then, on Wednesday, Thursday and today, I also went in to our school to practice for the middle school concert next Monday. They meet starting at 1:00 and I would be done around 2:10. Then this morning was the choir fest that Cameron took the two high school choirs to, so I needed to leave around 9:00 and wasn’t done until 11:15. I went shopping for the week as long as I was in Rice Lake, then got home just in time to go to Chetek to practice. Of course, I also had all the normal lessons, tai chi class, evening choirs and so forth. It didn’t leave me much time to get into trouble. Or to keep the house clean…
Good thing that happened. When the best Cameron choir finished, the clinician told me I was a wonderful piano player. One of the pieces was insanely difficult and I’ll admit I nailed it. Took a lot of practice and a bit of luck, too! But it is always nice to be recognized for your effort.
I’m glad you were recognized for your talent and hard work. That should happen more often!
