I had my first Wildtree tasting tonight and it went pretty well. I had mostly seniors, so they were not interested in booking a party of their own. They did place some orders, though, so that was nice. But it was a huge amount of work being both the hostess and the Wildtree representative. A lot of the work for tomorrow is already done, though, like loading all the stuff in the car and taking up there. I do have to haul it all home tomorrow, of course, but at least preparing will be quicker. And I have bread left from today. I must say the beer bread, which I made with club soda instead, was really good for how quick and easy it was. The meatloaf was nothing to write home about, though. My recipe is lots better. And I put too many noodles in the Alfredo sauce, so they were rather dry. The chocolate mousse was great, and I have a lot left over to eat. (Big sacrifice!)
So, another one tomorrow at 11:30, and that is mostly younger people, like piano student moms and people I know from school and the Red Barn and so on. Should be better. And I’ll do a little better at explaining things too.
Dad bought me flowers, too. For my premier, I think.
That is so sweet that Don got you flowers!
