Well….. If I had known how much people were going to attack me, personally, I would have been even more stressed. But, on the good side, we had a great turnout – over 60 people. And intelligent, uninvolved people from the community saw just what we are dealing with. And, believe me, those that are the problem were apparent to everyone there. I won’t go into it, but it was appalling, really. I’m not sure much was accomplished other than letting the people that are sort of on the sidelines see for themselves what the problem is and who is causing it. I don’t think a lot of them believed it until they saw it themselves. I can’t go into details, because it would take too long.

And, also on the good side, I was very in control the whole time. I was complimented by many, including the mayor, the police officer there and the Office on Aging representative, on the way I handled the whole thing. The past mayor came to my defense on an accusation I just decided not to respond to, which I appreciated. I didn’t have time to deal with all the lies, quite frankly. We had business to handle and a time limit in which to do it. As it was, we went almost 20 minutes over.

But things are far from resolved. At least I am not the one totally responsible for resolving it.
