I know it has been a long time since I posted. We certainly have not been sitting around doing nothing, but it didn’t seem anything was interesting enough to post about.

This past Friday and Saturday we went to Waukesha to get the last of the things out of Mama’s house and basically say goodbye to the place. It was hard. In more ways that one, actually. Emotionally, of course, but also hard work. One of the brothers called and asked Dad if he could get the furnace out, because it was going to cost $750 to have it removed. So we had to do that, then haul it away. We hauled everything in to Grandma Fritz’s garage, to be gradually brought up to Chetek. We’d said we’d take a push mower and ended up being given all 6, so we have them all awaiting transport to our various rentals. We also got the rather new riding lawn mower, which I used to mow Grandma Fritz’s yard as soon as we’d hauled it there. We also got the double seated go-cart, which needs a new pull rope before it can be used. It will be fun for riding around our property, though, once it is fixed. Then there was the wood stove from the rec room. We put it on a 4-wheeled dolly and were using two wide tie down straps to gradually winch it up the planks into the trailer when Uncle Doak volunteered to help. With he and Dad pushing and me winching, we got it loaded. It unloaded much easier! We are not sure we have use for it, but it is ours now. We also have a chest freezer that will go in our basement here, once we get the pile of dirt moved and new stairs put in. And, finally, we got the washer and dryer. Dad hooked up the dryer yesterday and I used it for the laundry. Nice. No more trips to the laundromat!

I had two new people in my aerobics class this a.m. And I have one personal training client signed up! Patience, patience…. Piano students are up to 15.
