Duluth trip

Yesterday’s trip went well. A couple glitches on the money end of it, but we got it all worked out. Turned out the person I arranged the meal with had left and someone else took over his clients and they didn’t get a copy of exactly what he sent me in an email, so they didn’t know we were supposed to get a choice of beverages that included pop or milk or that we were supposed to get a “chef’s choice” dessert or that we were supposed to be charged for the number I called in Tuesday, but the manager was nice and we got it fixed to my satisfaction, although we didn’t get a dessert.

Then when we got to Glensheen mansion, they had not received my check for the deposit – $105, so I paid the whole amount and they will send the $105 back to me when it comes. So that should be fine. They seemed honest.

But the weather was great and everyone who went kept saying how much they were enjoying it and what a good job I’d done putting it together. So I was pleased!

Then I sped over to the Red Barn to rehearse there until 9:00 before heading home, finally. Exhausting day!

I’m so glad to hear the trip went well–I was thinking of you yesterday.

And I’m sure you already told me once… but what musical are you doing at the Barn this year?

The Pajama Game. It’s along the lines of Newsies, where the employees and planning a strike because of a 7 1/2 cent raise they feel they deserve to keep up with the other factories. But there is also a love story between the superintendant of the plant and the grievance committee chair of the union. It’s actually quite funny in many parts.

ooooh, that sounds like fun! I think Tim was in that musical in High School–the name sounds familiar…
