And lots of green toward the front, too.
Remember the bench with the really high pile of snow? Well, now it is the opposite – no snow on the bench, but lots of snow still left around it.
And see, there is grass in the back yard…
But still quite a lot of snow…
What a difference 20 degrees makes! It was actually up to 61 yesterday and the loss of snow was very noticable. It is easy to believe that it could all be gone by a week from now, or even sooner, I suppose. It goes down by several inches a day, especially in areas not shaded much of the day. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include our front yard on the north side of the house. But there is grass showing in one whole corner of the back yard and the walkway to the car parking area is totally clear of snow or mush. And I cleaned off the dog poops, so there are no “squishy spots”. (That was for Erica.)
The Roselawn program is tomorrow evening and everything is about ready. We have a rehearsal tomorrow morning with everyone, over at the high school. This will be the first time we all get to see the acting parts in between the songs. Then the big production at 7:00. Then I get to rush up to Rice Lake to catch as much of the Red Cedar Choir extra rehearsal as I can. But there will be another rehearsal again on Thursday and the dress rehearsal on Sunday, then the performance a week from tomorrow (on Luke’s birthday!)
The weather is much better today – sunny and 40 or so. Melting like crazy. We got a lot of sheet rock up in the upstairs room today. And gave Sherlock a bath.
Tell me again… why do we live here?
I decided to find beauty above the ground today. This series I call “Looking Up.”
This last picture is really cool, because when I took it, I couldn’t see the moon, because it is so bright outside. But see it in the middle of the picture? I thought that was amazing!
Now a picture of why looking up is best on a day like today:
Right, folks. This is the yard on April 2nd. And another 6 – 12 inches is predicted for Thursday. Yay…..
And finally another picture of everyone’s favorite subject.
He likes the sun!!
Here is the new window we put in on Sunday. We still have to put all the siding back on and find a couple more pieces to cover where the old window was a little lower.
The new window from the inside.
Some of the new wiring in the upstairs room.
Nicely primed walls downstairs. No color decisions made yet for this room.
New paint job in entry way and on front door.
We still have a lot of snow to melt.
